Would you snicker self-consciously if someone told you could have a blog and promote your blog successfully?
You shouldn't. Practically anyone—that means you, too—can blog successfully.
You don't need a high near Einstein IQ to figure out how to set up a blog. You don't need PhD degrees. You don't need a genius for matters technical.
You can quickly rack up all the blogging skills you need, speedily and without burning the midnight oil. And without blowing away a major part of your bank balance. Actually, learning how to blog can be reasonably strain free and beneficial.
Blogging is all about content (text, video and audio material) but that doesn't mean you have got to be a literary giant. You are good blogger material if you can create information of value to people and communicate it to them in simple language that is easily absorbed and digested.
Concerned about expenses? You will have to buy things like domain names, hosting services and autoresponder services. Does US$ 10 per year for a domain name seem pricey to you? And what about US$ 10 a month for hosting and US$ 20 a month for an autoresponder to promote your blog?
You cannot avoid these expenses if you wish to be a blogger. Will they break your financial back? There are other useful optionals you can spend on as a blogger, but they are not of importance right now—that is why they are optionals.
Worried about technical skill needs? There's tons of instruction material on offer out there on the internet, free of charge. Is there any doubt you can follow instructions in easy language that involves no mind-numbing technical prattle? And you can understand and act on text and video tutorials that clearly illustrate how to blog: once more, without incomprehensible nerdy jargon?
You can, right?
You can easily soak up this new knowledge: knowledge about how to set up a blog and get it indexed and ranked, using autoresponders and Wordpress. By the way, let me tell you age has nothing to do with your ability to learn. I once believed age was a deterrent, but now I know better. I have lasted 52 winters; over the last two of them, I am sure I have absorbed more new knowledge than I did throughout my academic life (twelve or thirteen years of it). And no, learning something at this age has not given me an ulcer.
To go on to the sixty-four dollar question (we are being low-priced, like blogging): just what can you blog about? If you are at least a teenager, you should have something you can blog about. There are lots of instances of young children in their early teens becoming triumphant—and rich—bloggers.
What do those juveniles blog about? Digital games, school, teachers, parents, girl friends, boy friends and other pets... If you ransack your brains, you will likely find raw material of value that you can use when you promote your blog.
We live in a world where everyone seems to be short of time. No one has time to spend hunting for information. The internet is a blessing: it helps them get what they want in a very limited period of time.
And when you have learnt how to blog, you can contribute and benefit from contributing to that huge online library.
